RESULTS ARE IN! We're going to preschool... in the fall.

The Results...

So, he qualifies for an IEP, which means he can start preschool at age three, for free. He obviously qualified for his speech delay.

For those who may not know what an IEP is, here's a great website explaining what it is.

Choosing His School.

We had our "meeting" with the occupational therapist, speech therapist and physical therapist from our son's soon-to-be preschool in the town we live. We decided we wanted to send him to public schools. We've heard so many great things about the preschool in our community, I wanted to take advantage of the special teachers, instructors and therapists.

When He'll Start.

He will start speech therapy with the district as soon as he turns three, which is February 26, 2023. However, there is a waitlist to get into a classroom. So, while he'll have speech therapy at the school until summer, he won't officially be in a classroom four days a week, three hours a day until school starts in the fall.

Either way, we just so excited for him.
