"Ghosts and goblins come to play on October's final day!"
Last night was Roman's third Hallow's Eve. While I quickly write the blog about last night, I wanted to start at the beginning.

Roman in his Halloween costume for his first Halloween.
My Little Stinker.
His first Halloween, I couldn't decide what he should be. I knew we wouldn't take him Trick or Treating, because of COVID. I found this adorable Skunk costume, called "'Lil Stinker" at WalMart. I thought to myself, 'It's perfect!"

Myself and Roman on a cold night for trick or treaters!
He was so darn cute!
We decided to not take Roman around the neighborhood because at that time it was October 2020... still considered the height of the pandemic. In fact, as you can see in the right corner of the picture above, I put together individual bags full of pretzels and candy for the kids. We then set them out on a table at the end of our yard by the sidewalk, to avoid any interaction with other people.

It was a decision at the time, that I felt was the right decision to make. In my mind, he was too little for the interaction to make a difference.
He's Got the "Spidey Sense!"
"I believe there's a hero in all of us, that keeps us honest, gives us strength, makes us noble, and finally allows us... Even our dreams." - Aunt May, 'Spider-Man 2', 2004.

Roman is my superhero. He is such a resilient little man.
For his second Halloween, we decided we could take him Trick-or-Treating around our cul-de-sac.

Roman literally RUNNING through the neighborhood and socializing with our neighbors.
He LOVED every moment! He ran from house to house following myself and my husband. He walked right up to our neighbors, looked them in the face, and ran off to the next home.
I was so surprised with hos comfortable he was, and how happy he was. Never did I think he would have socialization delays or issues just a year later.
I'm praying for a repeat of his second Halloween experience for this year.
